Life skills, from bushcraft to financial literacy
Screen-free, hands-on camps where children build confidence and real-world life skills - from bushcraft, forest craft and mindfulness in nature to music, art, science and financial literacy. Hand-picked across West London.
Bushcraft Workshop
A six-hour adventure roaming Putney Heath and Wimbledon Common - den-building, knots, tracking, bird language and a little plant medicine. Children bring a packed lunch, water and warm layers.
Mindful Nature Camp
A fun-filled week of movement, mindfulness, creativity, games and activities designed to help children feel happy, confident and calm. Forest-school nature play, yoga and breathwork at Tadpoles Nursery, Chelsea. Join for individual days or several across the week.
Forest School Missions
Holiday camps built as immersive missions in acres of woodland - tracking pirates, rescuing aliens, saving stag beetles. Along the way children learn bushcraft, build go-karts and dens, cook over fire, make films and perform in the woods. Small groups led by Forest School leaders, artists, makers and scientists.
Frogs Holiday Camp
A forest-school week outdoors at Durnsford Road Recreation Ground: den building, bushcraft, nature exploration, crafts, music and games, with a balance of teamwork and independent play. Forest Freedom also runs after-school and weekend sessions for ages 1-11, from Tadpoles to Goliaths.
Wild Nature Classes
Nature-based outdoor sessions in Hyde Park - nature crafts, animals, balance and coordination games and lots of imaginative wild play. Choose a short morning or a longer day. Nature art classes for 6-8s too, plus Battersea Park sessions if there is demand.
Sashiko & Boro Workshop
A five-hour workshop in sashiko, the traditional Japanese art of stitching and repair. Groups are capped at five, so every child gets proper guidance, and projects are pitched to suit different ages and abilities. They leave with something made by hand and the skill to mend what they already own. Younger children welcome with sewing confidence.
Spooky Sewing Camp
A half-term sewing workshop where children stitch their own spooky friends by hand, with all materials provided and no experience needed. Held at the Patch studio in Twickenham, with a goody bag for every child.
String & Sing Camp
A screen-free music camp: mornings learning guitar (instruments included, beginners welcome), afternoons of dance, drama, sport and crafts, and a Grand Concert on Friday. This half term's theme is Spooktacular Celebrations. At St John's Walham Green, Filmer Road.
Drawing & Painting Classes
Serious art tuition for children who love to draw. Small classes build observational skills in acrylic, soft pastel and charcoal. Book 3 to 5 sessions in the same week for real progress - mornings 10:30am-1pm or afternoons 2:30-5pm. Currently waitlist only.
Fine Art Workshops
Drawing, painting and sculpture taught step by step by artist-teachers with professional-quality materials. Holiday workshops see each child finish a complete project in a session; weekly classes follow a new theme each term at Sands End (SW6) and Putney Library (SW15).
Science Discovery Camp
A hands-on week of chemistry, biology and physics, with wow-factor demonstrations, experiments to take home and three outdoor play breaks a day. October brings a Halloween science theme. At Lady Margaret School (SW6), St James Prep (W14), St Joseph's (SW3), Swaffield (SW18) and William Hogarth (W4).
Smart Money Skills
